Happy, independent, curious, open-minded, financially and emotionally healthy :)

A bit about me:
I have never been married and have no children but I have a terrific family for which I am very thankful. I am employed in management in the non-profit sector and I teach part-time at the college level. I am also a very active volunteer.

I like good coffee and good conversation, restaurants, hotels and movies. I love flying even though it scares me. I enjoy hiking, fishing, biographies, hors d'oeuvres, grey-haired men, and learning new things. I am getting a bit tired of city life and thinking about a change. I crave to see more of the world and/or experience a different lifestyle.

My friends would say I am kind and compassionate, intelligent and funny (quirky?). I think I am also patient, uncomplicated (which doesn't mean uninteresting) and I'm definitely independent. I can laugh at myself, maintain grace under pressure and make the people around me feel comfortable. While I admit to an appreciation for some of the finer things,I absolutely understand what is really important in this life.

What I prefer in a man:
courage
confidence (which is different than arrogance)
someone who is older, wiser and emotionally settled
a leader who can be cool under pressure
intelligence
big heart
strong arms

What will turn me off:
someone who says they're intelligent, but doesn't spell it right
arrogance (which is different than confidence)
shirtless profile pics
men who call me sweetheart or sexy in the first "hello" message
a photo of you dressed as a woman (I don't care if it was Halloween)
someone who can't let things go

Bonus points if you can teach me something new!

P.S. I have a real weakness for older and/or larger men!
